Why the 80/20 rule is even more important
for you as a Solopreneur today
The 80/20 rule is more important as a Solopreneur than for other business owners.
The reason that the 80/20 rule is so important for Solopreneurs, is that we have to do most of the tasks in our business if not all of them. This means that having the ability to focus on the 20% is really important.
We don’t have a team
As a Solopreneur you don’t have a team. You are your business. This means that you need to be very conscious of how you spend your time. Both the tasks in your business and everything else in your life.
Time is the most valuable thing that you have. This is why the 80/20 rule is a very important tool for you to use.
Remember that even as a solopreneur you do have the opportunity to outsource parts of your business to others.
What is the 80/20 rule?
The Pareto principle, better known as the 80/20 rule, states that 20% of your effort will result in 80% of the results. Meaning that it’s important to know which 20% of your efforts are really making the difference in your business.
Why you should use the 80/20 rule and how!
The reason this principle important for you as a Solopreneur, is that your time is valuable. The less time you can use on a specific task the better. This will free up time for other tasks in your business.
Remember there is no such thing as perfect. So why not work towards focusing on those top 80% of your business. With the knowledge that that 80% is reached with 20% of the effort. That is amazing, right?
Spend some time to map out all the tasks in your business and see which tasks are the ones that give you the most benefit in your company – and then focus on them. If you don’t want to discard some of the things that do not give you the 80%, then try just to pause them for a period of time.
Help yourself and your business
The conclusion for this is that you should be implementing the 80/20 rule in your business because it will free up your time to do more stuff, and move your business towards your goals a lot faster.
